What is the TaterNation?
The TaterNation is our version of a street team, a grassroots, volunteer promotional team made up of Tater fans who would like to help other people find out about the band and its music.
What does the TaterNation do?
Primarily the TaterNation volunteers post reviews about Tater music and videos, share and "Like" the music on social networks like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, and share Tater events such as concerts and CD or video releases with their friends.
How does someone know what to do?
About every 2-3 weeks TaterNation members get an email from the coordinator, calling out a particular video or song online, giving the members a link to it, and instructions on how to review it, give it a thumbs up, or share it on Facebook, etc. The idea is that by having a group of people collectively promote the same video or song on a given week it will help make that work more visible to the rest of the world. The more reviews, comments and "likes" something has online, the more likely it is that someone who's never heard of the band may come across it! It's a simple concept but very powerful, and ultimately a huge help to the Taters in helping get the word out!
Does it cost anything to join the TaterNation?
No. Membership is free and voluntary. It costs nothing to join or to participate, other than whatever time you're willing to spend each month helping to promote the Taters. Most requested activities take no more than a few minutes every few weeks, but it's a heap of help to the band!
What do I get as a member of the TaterNation?
You mean besides our everlasting gratitude? We will regularly make things available to the TaterNation that the rest of the world doesn't have, or might have to wait for, such as pre-release versions of CD tracks, first-look at new videos, and special TaterNation-Only content like unreleased cuts, private videos, etc. We're trying to think up new perks all the time for the members, so if you have ideas as a member, let us know!
What if I want to leave the TaterNation?
Why would you ever want to do that? Just kidding, of course, if you decide you just don't have the time to participate you can either stay on the roles and just sit back and watch, or just let us know and we'll remove your name, erase your retinal scan records, drink a toast to your memory, and observe a moment of silence.
